I was born in Halifax, living early on in various places in Nova Scotia. After a couple of years in England, I grew up in Victoria. I attended UBC for a BSc in Agriculture, and the University of Guelph for a Masters in Landscape Architecture. Through my career, I worked as a landscape architect, urban and regional planner, and real estate appraiser. These positions took me through many Vancouver Island communities, where we raised two sons. My wife and I have travelled extensively, often exploring historical and culturally significant sites. Having visited Pender Island recreationally since 2006, I relocated to Pender Island full time in 2016. I have interests in photography, languages, hiking and gardening.
